Opis (Description): na voljo so preskusi znanja iz kemije. Področja: splošna, organska, analizna, anorganska, fizikalna kemija in biokemija. Na kratko: vprašanja v predavalnici  vsebujejo nekaj možnih odgovorov. Študentje "z glasovanjem" obkrožijo možen pravilen odgovor ali več možnih odgovorov in skušajo prepričati svoje kolege v predavalnici, da so ti odgovori pravilni. Zatem spet glasujejo. Ta oblika predavanj se je izkazala za učinkovito pedagoško metodo, ki sočasno nudi predavatelju povratne informacije o tem, kako izčrpno so študenti sledili predavanju.  Na voljo so interaktivni testi za preizkus znanja iz fizike. Description (Opis): This page contains ConcepTests for use in Chemistry. Readers may be familiar with Harvard physicist Eric Mazur's ConcepTests, which have been shown to enhance substantially the comprehension of introductory physics concepts. Briefly, conceptual questions are posed in the lecture room along with a few possible answers. Students vote on the possible answers, then try to persuade their neighbors in the lecture room that they are correct, and finally vote again. This form of peer instruction is often an effective pedagogical method, and it also provides the instructor with on-line feedback as to how well the class is following the lecture. A library of physics ConcepTest questions can be accessed on the world wide web at http://galileo.harvard.edu.About the contributors: Each ConcepTest having a blue number is hot-linked to the name and email address of its author. Komponente projekta: 1) Pregled: Kaj je molekularno modeliranje? Povezava med molekularnim modelinarjem in matematiko. Zakaj je molekularno modeliranje pomembno? Vključene so številne slike in datoteke MPEG. 2) Programje v javni domeni: najnovejše programje v javni domeni za delovne postaje Unix, PC in Machintosh (razpoložljivo programje je mogoče uporabiti za branje datotek v knjižnici MathMol). 3) 3-D molekularne strukture: knjižnica molekularnih struktur vsebuje datoteke molekul (formati datotek GIF, PDB in 3-D (VRML)), ki jih navadno vsebujejo učbeniki za kemijo in biologijo (voda in led, ogljik, ogljikovodiki, amino kisline, lipidi, sladkorji itd.). 4) Modul vode: informacije o vodi in ledu, računalniške simulacije vodnih molekul v gibanju; baze podatkov o vodi in ledu. 5) Učne dejavnosti: modul vode za srednješolce in visokošolce, ki omogoča online izračunavanje gostote vode in ledu. 6) Hipermedijski učbeniki: namenjeni osnovnošolcem. Descripion (Opis): MathMol (Mathematics and Molecules) is designed to serve as an introductory starting point for those interested in the field of molecular modeling. Contents:  Hypermedia Textbook (Version2): New Introduction to molecular modeling for middle and high school students. This updated version contains java applets, Flash movies and javascript interactive activities. The MathMol Tutorials have been updated to work using JavaMage so they can be performed online. K-12 Chime Tutorial New: A Chime tutorial designed for middle and high school students. The tutorial can easily be adapted for higher level use. Quick Tour: What is molecular modeling? Why is molecular modeling important? Why the math in MathMol? This link contains numerous images and MPEG files. Library of 3-D Molecular Structures: The MathMol Library of Molecular Structures contains GIF, PDB and 3-D (VRML) files of molecules that are found in most introductory biology and chemistry textbooks (e.g., water and ice, carbon, hydrocarbons, amino acids, nucleotides, lipids, sugars, photosynthetic pigments and drugs). Water Module: This site contains background information on water and ice, MPEG files of computer simulations of water molecules in motion, and water and ice databases. K-12 Activities: A water module for middle and high school students that allows students to calculate the density of water and ice on-line is available here. View the structure of the Photosynthetic Reaction Center and more. There is a new revised Review of density, mass and volume that contain javascripts that test students knowledge as they work through the activity. Hypermedia Textbook (Version1): Experimental versions of two hypermedia textbooks are now on-line. An elementary school version for grades 3-5 and a middle/high school version for grades 6-12.
